돈 (Money)

1. 돈이 인생의 전부는 아니지만 삶을 더 윤택하게 만들어주는 것은 부정할 수 없는 사실이다.
- Money isn't the be-all and end-all of life, but no one can deny that it makes life more comfortable.

2. 돈은 우리 삶의 많은 부분을 차지한다.
- Money takes up a large part of our lives.

3. 하지만 우리는 돈이 인생에서 최종 목적이 아니라, 단지 목적을 이루기 위한 수단이라는 것을 유념해야 한다.
- But we have to keep in mind that money isn't the final goal in life, but is merely a means to an end.

 

 

커피 찌꺼기 활용법(Uses for Coffee Grounds)

1. 원두 가루에서 커피를 만들기 위해 추출되는 양은 20퍼센트 밖에 안되며, 나머지 80퍼센트는 버려진다고 한다.
- Only 20% of ground coffee is extracted to make coffee, and the remaining 80% goes to waste.

2. 커피 찌꺼기를 잘 활용하면 일상생활에서 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
- Finding a use for coffee grounds can offer useful lifehacks.

3. 커피 찌꺼기는 천연 탈취제나 방향제로 사용할 수 있다.
- You can use them as all-natural deodorizers or air fresheners.

 

아침형 인간(Morning Person)

1. 내가 해야 할 일들을 미리 해놓는 것이 편해졌다.
- It became more convenient to get my chores out of the way in advance.

2. 아침 일찍 일어나 일을 하기 시작했고, 지금은 일찍 일어나는 것이 습관이 되었다.
- I started waking up early to get things done and now, getting up early has become a habit.

3. 아침시간은 그가 혼자만의 시간을 가질 수 있는 유일한 기회였다. 나는 이 말에 너무 공감이 됐다.
- The mornings were his only chance for some alone time. I could really relate to those words.

 

자가격리(Self-Quarantine Measures)

1. 요즘 해외로 여행을 가려면 출국 72시간 전에 코로나 19 검사를 받아서, 음성 결과지를 제출해야 한다.
- To travel overseas these days, you need to get tested for COVID-19 72 hours before departure.

2.  음성 결과지를 제출해야 한다.
- You need to present a negative test result.

3. 그 나라에 도착하면 체온을 측정하고 건강 상태를 체크한다.
- We were in quarantine for 14 days at a designated hotel.

 

 

늦게 결혼하는 추세(Getting Married Late)

1. 젊은 세대들 사이에는 결혼을 반드시 해야 하는 건 아니라는 관점이 대세이다.
- The prevailing view among younger generations is that tying the knot is not a necessity.

2. 그것이 바로 그들이 사랑하는 운명적 상대를 만나지 않는 한 결혼을 미루는 이유이다.
- That's why they tend to put off marriage unless they meet 'the one.'

3. 또한 결혼을 위해 경제적으로 안정적으로 되기까지 이전에 비해 더 오래 걸린다.
- It also takes much longer than before to become financially stable enough for marriage.

 

고속도로와 자동차 전용도로(Expressways and Highways)

1. 요새는 도심 외곽을 둘러싸고 있는 자동차 전용 도로가 생겼다.
- These days, there is an expressway that circles around the outer part of the city.

2. 출퇴근 시간이 상당히 단축되었습니다.
- It's been a huge time-saver for my commute.

3. 교통의 흐름이 좋다 보니 일부 차량들이 과속을 하는 경우가 가끔 있다.
- Because the flow of traffic is good, some cars sometimes go over the speed limit.

 

놀이터(Playgrounds)

1. 아이들은 모래에서 소꿉놀이를 하기도 한다.
- Children play house in the sand.

2. 균형을 읽고 넘어지는 경우가 많아서, 부상을 예방해주는 바닥이 매우 중요하다.
- Sometimes they lose their balance and fall over, so it's important for the ground to prevent injuries.

3. 놀이터에는 대부분 CCTV 카메라가 설치되어 있다. 세대별로 집안에서 CCTV 영상을 모니터로 확인할 수 있는 경우도 있다.
- Most playgrounds are equipped with security cameras. Sometimes, each household can check the CCTV feed on monitors at home.

 

랜섬웨어(Ransomware)

1. 컴퓨터 시스템을 악성코드로 감염시키고 나서, 접근을 제한하고 일종의 몸값을 요구한다. 
- It causes computer systems to be infected with malicious code. 

2. 감염된 컴퓨터는 접근이 제한되기 때문에 사용자는 상당한 피해를 입을 수 있다.
- An affected computer is bricked, so the user could really shoulder a loss.

3. 데이터를 암호화해서 저장된 데이터에 접근을 막는 랜섬웨어가 있고, 단순하게 컴퓨터를 잠그고 돈을 지불하는 방법을 안내 문구로 띄우는 랜섬웨어도 있다.
- Some ransomware uses data encryption to prevent access to the stored data.
